Short version of my history I left after ½ day my senior year. I did receive my G.E.D. while in the Army. After completion of my military obligation C.H.S. took my G.E.D. and turned it into my C.H.S Diploma class of 1970.
I Joined the Army March 12,1967 at the age of 18, Then off to get a education in. Vietnam. I was assigned to the 1st Air Calvary Division as a Assault Helicopter Crew Chief in charge of the aircraft, and a door gunner. 1967/68/69 I was stationed in I Corp. very close to the DMZ. Mid 1968 moved down to III Corps North East of Saigon. November and December 1968 I join Delta Team, 5th Special Forces inserting and extracting 6 man teams and extracting NVA captives. ies in the Amazon Basin. And 12 fire seasons in Alaska, In 1976 I was lucky to enough to winter in Talkeetna. AK. And to think winter is bad here. I stopped working in 2004 and retired. My toys, FXDI-35 Harley Davidson, 25' Bayliner offshore boat, 36' Motor Coach and my Z06 505hp Corvette. The lord has blessed me all my life. I have been trying to finish a book telling my experience in HELL. After Vietnam I received my Commercial Pilot Certification Rotor Craft Helicopter, and Single Engine Airplane and Instrument rating also my Certification as a Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic. I held a Inspection Authorizing for 25+years And Designated Airworthiness Repressive for 12 years. I received advanced Helicopter Flight Training and Maintenance from Bell Helicopter TX. I received advanced turboshaft jet engine schooling from Allison, Pratt & Whitney, and Lycoming. I have a 43-year-old Son who is close to me. Life is very good I thank the Lord my God. And to think not all thought I would succeed.
