Darrel's Story
Well, I've been on this site for years now and I now have five Guestbook signatures. Factors of five always seem to carry some significance. So in all fairness to those folks (I have no idea who you are, as I am too cheap to pay to see), figured maybe I'd throw a bit in here about myself. Gotta get your moneys worth and all that.
To be succinct:
-Graduated
-Went to college, dropped out
-Joined the Navy
-Five years as an aircraft mechanic
-On the way out of the Navy, accepted into training as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Tech/Diver
-Stayed in the Navy
-Got married (best move on my part to date...Expand for more
)
-Graduated EOD School (2nd best move on my part to date)
-Moved to South Carolina, deployed to the Middle East a fair bit. You know, all the garden spots.
-Moved to Rhode Island, another Iraq deployment
-Decided to break from the Navy and pursue life as a civilian
-Bought house in New England
-Hired onto civilian firm as a consultant, working in Afghanistan
Aside from that, my life pretty much revolves around my wife, Jen, and our plans for the future.
Of course, that's just what I've done, not really who I am, but let's be honest, do you really expect to get that here?
