Edward's Story
Now that I am looking forward to the 50th, I guess I should fill in some blanks.
Two years after I left school I moved back to Pitt Meadows and got married a few years later.
We moved back to POCO and a couple years late, we started a family and have two daughters.
We lived in POCO for 8 yr's. and also where I started in the trucking business.
The next move was to 100 Mile House where we raised our kids and stayed for 16 yr's. My oldest daughter still lives there.
I got out of the trucking and started in fabricating and repairing sawmill & forestry equipment.
We then moved back to Pitt Meadows and I went to BCIT for a theory up grade (16 night sessions over 2 months of intensive class work & testing) as a Mill wright and then challenged the test for my T/Q and passed with fl...Expand for more
ying colors.
The rest of my working life was spent as a mill wright with major sawmills and a battery plant in Maple Ridge.
Sherrill & I were married for 35 yr's and then just grew apart and separated.
Home for me the last 14 yr's is Keremeos, BC, not far from Penticton.
While here I started up a 5 acre mixed fruit orchard and after 7 yr's gave it up. There was just too much work with my mill wright job at the mill in Princeton & doing the orchard as well.
I also got prostrate Cancer and that gave me a whole new out look on life.
It as been 5 yr's now and the PSA levels are still going down after the treatment.
I really hated school and did not participate in any thing when there and now regret the choice I made and now I am looking forward to the 50th.
See you there !!
