Edward's Story
Since I graduated from Guilderland Central High School '74. I got married to Patricia Tompkins on Nov. 24. 1977; and I have two sons Philip E. (7/1983); and Philip S. (12/1988). Then I got divorced on 12/95. I graduated from SCCC with a A.S. Computer Science degree '94. After completing my degree at SCCC; then I attended SUNY IT from 1995-1996 and graduate from SUNY IT with a B.S. Telecommunications degree.
After graduating from SUNYIT; I got a job at Blue Cross Blue Shield at Utica/Rome; as a Telecommunications Specialist from 3/1997 - 6/2002. After leaving BCBS I got a job at BJ's Wholesale Club; located in Utica, NY from 9/2002 - 10-2007. While working at BJ's Wholesale Club I earned two different Master's Degrees from two...Expand for more
different on-line colleges: University of Phoenix - MBA Technology Management (GPA - 3.57) in 2005; then at Colorado Technical University - MSM Information Systems Security (GPA 4.0)
Then after leaving BJ's Wholesale Club I was unemployed until I got a part-time job at Burlington Coat Factory in Utica, NY from 8/2009 - 3/2011. I also had another part-time job at Labor Ready from 7/2010 - 8/2011. Then I finally landed a full-time job working at Harbor Point Minerals. All of my jobs after leaving BCBS I no longer worked in the IT field, and I did not make use of my two master degrees that I earned either.
Now I currently work at RCIL (Resource Center for Independent Living) as a PCA (Personal Care Aide); and so far I like it.
