A quick look at parts of my life In 1984 I graduated form High Schools and had no carrier plans so my mother sent me off to work at the local lumber yard (The Weldon Veneer Company) I worked there for two years. In 1986 I lost one of my brothers (Cascell Stansberry Class Of 1980) and that experience made me reexamine my life. I then called one of my older brothers that live in Raleigh and told him that I was ready for a change. I packed my bags and moved to Raleigh the capital city. I don¿t know what my expectations were at the time but Raleigh didn't measure up. I though I would be lost in the madness, but I found out there is a little bit of home every where you go. Every where I looked I saw people that reminded me of someone I knew. The city offers a few things that I wasn't use to like running water indoor bath rooms and college girls. My first job was at a grocery Store (Farm Fresh) I was the custodian. I did that job for two nights until they asked me to clean the toilet and I quit because I couldn't see myself doing that.
