Edward's Story
Hello and thank you for taking time and reading. I have heard about the reunion and sorry I wasn't able to go.
I am Living in San Diego, Ca. I am 40 years old. Birthday Jan/6/1968.
After graduation I moved to Seminary and Dakin. It is one block north of Wrigley Field. I work for the Chicago Merc. Exchange. I was computer programmer for a commodities company. I did this for 3 yrs. While still in Chicago I traveled on a traveling softball team which went to 15 cities a year. I saw what was out there and decided to move.
I have lived in California since 1989. I first moved to Long Beach Ca. I worked again in the computer field for a Food distributor based in Los Angeles. I worked for this company for 4 yrs.
I found out I had Testicular Cancer and survived but with a need to help others. I went back to school and became a Paramedic for the City of Torrance, Ca. I did this for about 3 yrs. I was waiting to get into a larger department but at time they were hiring fire/paramedic. I don't mind the blood but I didn't have the nerve to run into a burning building.

California Department of Corrections and asked if I wanted a change and I said yes. I entered the academy in 1998 and became officer. I moved to Monterey California.
Mountains and great scenery aside I ended up working in a Level 4 prison called Salinas Valley State Prison.Level 4 just means more violent inmates. After 3 yrs of working at this prison
I then transfered to San Diego to a Prison called Richard J Donovan Correctional Facility. Both a level 4 and level 3 institution. I worked there as officer for another 6 yrs at this institution then decided that I wanted to promote.
I Promoted to Sergeant at a prison just north of San Diego. It is Called California Institution for Women. It is a old prison mostly with Lifer inmates such as the Manson Women etc....
I truly miss Chicago, My family still lives there and visit as often as possible.
I don't regret that I have left but I wish I made longer lasting friends with people back in high school. but alas to this wish. Maybe I can chat with you that wish to contact me. I look forward to corresponding with you all.
