Edward Bergeron:  

After leaving Wayland, I earned a B.A. degree in Marketing and Transportation Administration from Michigan State University, After graduation I married an MSU classmate and worked for Marathon Oil Company's Retail Marketing Division in Toledo, Ohio. I left Marathon and we moved to Eugene, Oregon in 1977 so we could experience the west's natural wonders. And upon arriving in Eugene, I went back to school to complete my MBA degree from the University of Oregon. Over the next 30 years we raised two great kids there, and I enjoyed a career in the public transportation industry, I was also an active volunteer,. and very fortunate to serve on several local and statewide governing boards, including the Oregon Transit Association, the Pacific Northwest Partners for High Speed Rail, the Oregon Department of Transportation's Passenger Rail Advisory Council, and as a board member and chair of other organizations including our local chamber of commerce, our county's convention and visitors association, and the University of Oregon Alumni Association's National Board of Directors. ...Expand for more
