Edwin's Story

Remember me from 1971? Long hair, skinny, beard, wire rim glasses? Haven't changed a bit! Never had to. Well, a touch of gray at the temples. I've had an interesting career path during which my appearence never really mattered - except those delightful occasions that required my appearence to change radically from time to time - but, more about that another day. I've been married a few times, but it seems marriage is for those who stay put for longer periods of time than I was ever able to do, so now I'm single...and likely will be for the next 50-odd years or so. I find I get along very well with all of my former wives...well, at least they still call me for financial advice and help with home repairs! I do have two wonderful children. My daughter is in college getting her Master's Degree. and planning to teach elementary school and my son is a Combat Engineer in the USMC. Ex-wife No. 2 jokes that it's a wonder I even HAVE kids...lol! I've settled down somewhat, now. I'm still gone more than home, but mostly now traveling within North America. I've been writing for ...Expand for more
many years, and managed to get a few things published...it's a nice way to have extra money, but I don't plan to quit my day job. My hobbies tended to be loud and fast in my younger days. I'm actually quite glad I lived through that stage, because now I'd just as soon pull out the telescope as the sports car, and a quiet sailboat suits me better than a screaming engine. It's good to appreciate the more cerebral aspects of life, as we age. I've made it a point throughout my life to make and keep many different friends, of every imaginable background, and I find it's quite handy to know just who to call whether I need a little help repairing an antique Jaguar, translating an old Chinese manuscript, or getting a foreign embassy bugged...lol! I'm sorry I've never been able to make it to any of our reunions, but I've spent more time traveling than home, over the past few decades. But please know that I remember some of my old high school acquaintances fondly...I think you know who you are. I'd also still enjoy meeting some of you in a dark alley...and you know who YOU are, too...lol!
