Edwina's Story
Ok here is the short of it. I have worked in Factories, Nursing Homes and Grocery Stores since I moved out of Michigan back in 1997.
I've been Disabled since Nov.2,2005 and finally got it on Oct.10,2008
I can no longer lift any one or thing heavy. Can't stand for long periods of time or sit for that matter either. I've found that I can block out pain up to a 10 on a scale of 0-10 being when I then have to start to hold onto things to walk.
Since leaving Michigan I have been in the Hosp. more in 10 years than any time before that in my life.
In 1999 I had my first Surgery after leaving Michigan, Had my tonsils taken out and could not talk for about 2 weeks and we all remember how I could never keep my mouth shut I'm still that way,that was in Feb. then on Sept.1,99 I had my first Heart Attack,Had my first Heart cath. in Oct.of that year. then in 2003 had another Surgery this time on my reproductive system all taken out and a hurnia repair, told them to get everything as I was not coming back yea right the next year another Hurnia Surgery this time for 4 large ones, Those were fixed in May of 2004. 3 days after being released to go back to work I got hit in the stomach by a resident with Alz. and then in 2005 in Oct. my blood pressure went up to 180/100 and ended up in the Hosp again. I tried to go to work and they stopped me and hauled me to the Hosp across the Street from the Nursing Home I was working in NoblesVille,IN at the time. Worked 2 more days in Nov. when my BP went up again and so did my Blood Sugar then too. Have been out of work since.
Went up to Alaska in 2006 to meet my Son-in-law and two Grand children Alex and Donna both in 3rd grade this year.
The year is 2021 I have a total of 11 Grand Children ranging in age from 30years old to just under 8 years now. 6 Girls and 5 Boys. Oldest is a Girl Brittany and the youngest is also a girl Myrcle the oldest belongs to the oldest Daughter girl she also has 2 more girls Fantasia & Angel and a son Mikey. Mary has Alex and Donna. Billy has a wife and a Daughter Myrcle. Gerry has one of each Devon and Ryan. Pam had 6 but only 2 sons living Tanner and Donald. She had twin Girls born still birth at 26 weeks and miss carried twin girls after both boys.
My Husband William has Retired from Construction and Park 100 Foods in Kokomo and is now working for a Hospital Laundry Services and part time with McClure's Corp.

What's the wildest thing I ever did in school? Well I remember when Liz Houghton and I shared a locker we stacked it and put ink Baloons in it and they landed on her Brother when he got into it. and there was the time we hid in the locker to scare some one else. My favorite wildest thing was throwing smoke bombs in the boys bathroom while I was in study hall when the principal, coach Look, Mr. Pappenpuss, Mr. Young, Mr. Pinky and Cliff Miller was in it.
When asked if any one ran out of the door by me or in when they asked me I said no and I wasn't lying as I was the one in and out of the door.
Back on May 18, 2019 I was trying to help Bill clean up the yard after he trimmed the bushes that are to be a hedge across the Front of our Property here in Bunker Hill, IN when I stopped for the day my back was killing me and my right hip as well. It took over an hour for the pain to let go some and then it was time to fix dinner so we had fish sticks and mac and cheese with a veggie. My back still hurts but not as bad, so now I decided to camp out in our Travel Trailer we just got last Month. Bill said we won't be leaving the yard this year so we can get everything we want to use in it this year, that is the reason for camping out now. He pulled it up in the Driveway as it was sinking in the yard with all the rain we got the last few weeks. LOL
My youngest is getting Married on July 20th this year and Mary is coming down from Alaska for the wedding. This will be the first time the whole Family will be together so I will be able to get a new Family Picture of all of us, I hope to get one with all of the Grandkids that make it to the wedding also, even great grand kids i hope. Well Annie didn't make it so couldn't get a new Family Photo.
It is now 2021 June 21st to be exact and this year has been one from hell first i started getting sick a lot this winter again and then I lost my Oldest Sister Sue on March 4th the day after Dad had been gone 24years andthen on the 9th of March when I told my Heart Dr that my sister died last week on the 4th he says I have more bad news for you he says need Heart Surgery this year. That was done on May 11th and I almost didn't make it. The Doctor said the opening in my Aorta Valve was only the size of the end of an ink pen tip not good but now am on the mend it is going slower than any other surgery I have ever gone thru.
