Life
I moved away from the city 12 years ago to 45 acres in Clare ("the gateway to the north"). I have been married for over 27 years and have 2 kids, a 23 year old son and a 21 year old daughter. My son is studying criminal justice. My daughter was exploring her youth in Wyoming for a little over a year but has come home to Michigan now. I got the chance to visit where she is living and explore a little of the west with her. Took lots of pictures (another creative piece of me). It is beautiful out there but Michigan has wildlife, trees, grass and lakes and much beauty especially up here in the north. I am a cook at Central Michigan University and love it. also have a part time job at Jo-Ann Fabrics which is fun and touches another of my creative sides. I love to cook and sew and I am pretty good at both. We live on a small farm with various animals from 15 chickens,a pair of turkeys,3 cats, 2 dogs 1 horses,2 miniature horses, 8 ponies and 3 cows We have had pheasants, quail, rabbits and even deer. It can be a lot of work, but you wouldn't believe the personalities of different animals even the chickens and the cows. It's nice and quiet for the most part to come out in the back yard and do my gardening and be with the animals and oh when the snow covers everything with the sun shining there is nothing like it.There are some conveniences that I miss from the city, but I sure don't miss the traffic.
