Eileen's Story
My story ... What a weird thought to write briefly (or at all) about yourself... I found it difficult enough to fill out the questionaire because there are too many categories I would check, but there are conditions that make it impossible to say a definite yes or no... Which is the story of my life probably... there are no short answers. I have also discovered that we are probably all like that... The picture I included is from a group shot at my parents home this last December. I turned 57...yikes, and felt even older when I realized we had a 40th high school reunion. they had their 40th reunion...they were old... I'm sure of it, so this means?
So anyway, there are no short answers, but I will do my best. I am teaching... thirty-one years now...not ready to quit yet... I tried to cut back, but... oh, well, I always seem to add more when I try that approach. I've lived in South Lake Tahoe for twenty-six years. I was very lucky to survive the forest fire (6/24/07) that took 254 homes in my neighborhood. Seven homes burned on my street. Slowly our community is rebuilding; I know many in California have suffered through this experience and my compassion is with them all.
