Eileen's Story

Busy all the time, daydreaming and trying to figure it all out. Two amazing sons, Will and Matt and a fantastic daughter-in-law, Vicky. New grandson, Joshua. Happily married to Tom (my sweet Sir Galahad). Went to Woodstock 40 years ago with Mary Ellen Balady from De Paul. It's been a wonderful blur of a life. I hope my old friends remember me as being caring and funny. To blow off steam, I go outside and look up at the clouds/sky/stars/moon. The wildest things I ever did in school has to remain in memory only. To relax I like to sleep if the ocean is not readily available. I love to be on a boat in the ocean where you cannot see the shoreline. If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have sunlight, herbal tea, and chili dogs at lunchtime to be able to deal with the day-to-day. I have too many heroes to list here for many different reasons. Born in Paterson, NJ, moved in 1960 to Wayne, NJ (the big NJ exodus to the safe suburbs), moved to Paterson again, moved to Pompton Lakes, back to Wayne, then to Parsippany, to Fort Lee, to Hawthorne, to Pompton Lakes again and have been in this house for 25 years. Mary Ellen Balady is one person from De Paul I'd like to see again. Baseball (Yankees) Buddhism (Meditation) are my obsessions. Oh, and of course my children and grandson. My biggest surprise in life is just that you're never finished with it until you're dead. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the whole house and add on a hot tub for 20 people. My dream home would be a log cabin in the woods by a lake.. To be forgiving is what I have learned from my kids. Also to believe in God. I never had a teacher that impressed me enough to remember who they were. If I won $100 million, I'd give some of it to family, then spend the res...Expand for more
t on travel, log cabin in the woods and a home in Ireland. Would buy a new car for my husband - whatever he wanted under $100,000. My current age is 58. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be close to dead. I was so completely wrong. I'd like to write a book about my family and then develop into a play for off-Broadway. Have to wait for personal reasons. My best friend would tell you I'm direct, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as aloof and uncaring. Still the same style. Classic hippie chic. Weirdest job I ever had was being married to my first husband. I share my home with Tom and Matt, which I find to be 2 men. Also Quinn (Lab) and June (Chihuahua), the other two 'girls' here with me right now. First crush - Ronnie - he was way too old for me. My Dad had him followed by the police and harassed him until we broke up. The one thing I would do over in my life would be to travel more and save more money. In 10 years, I hope to be retired. I'm going to get there by winning the lottery. Gail. Met her at her house; was friends with her sister. We just had the same spirit inside. I think everyone at my high school reunion would be surprised at how much I haven't changed. My first job was at an insurance company, where I got paid $77/week to do boring work. What I remember most about it is literally running out the door at 5 PM every single day like I just escaped from prison.. I hope old friends will remember me - period. When I was 2 or 3, coloring with my grandpa at the kitchen table. I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a crazy idea. As it turns out, they were wrong. When they read the 'tell all' book about them, they will be sorry.
