Elaine's Story
Hi Classmates!
Greetings from Colorado.
I guess my story would not surprise anybody.
After graduation I moved to a big city (Cleveland) and my two years of typing and shorthand paid off as I landed a fantastic job with an industrial manufacture company. Yes, lots of men at the workplace. Needless to say I was more than ready for a complete physical makeover. With my sister's help, I joined the 20th century. Off with the dowdy and on with the new.
I married and had two children...the most beautiful, wonderful kidlets in existance! Yes...I am a proud grandma too!
My husband was a salesman... the traveling kind, and as a result we saw most of these United States and lived...Expand for more
in many of them. I returned to Montana and attended college much later at the University in Missoula. Although I didn't receive my degree, again, I was glad to leave Montana. Eventually I came to Colorado and I was home. I have been here since 1990 and couldn't/wouldn/t imagine living any place else.
Not a story of a perfect life, nor a perfect person, but I am as content as a bug in a rug. I have been blessed with great family and friends and piece of mind.
I never did join the Marine Corps or the Peace Corps, though if there was a Peace Corps for old women, I would still like to join that.
I would love to hear from you...what have you been up to for these last 44 years?
