Elaine's Story
Still married to the same guy after 47 years, we have one daughter, Deborah, who is a licensed nuclear medicine technologist living in Marion County, and three grandsons, currently 18, 12, and 11.
My bachelor's degree was in music education and I taught elementary school music for 12 years. I completed a master's in educational leadership and was set to become a school administrator when my husband decided to enter Emory University as a seminary student. a master's in library and information systems. I have worked in public and academic libraries, and am presently on the faculty of Florida A&M University as a librarian. My husband is now retired, but I plan to work until it's not fun anymore.
Still making music with occasional church gigs. Sang with the Tallahassee Community Chorus and played in the Leon High School adult steel drum band "Steel Crazy" before returning to my favorite form of making music: presently ringing with the Capitol Bells, an auditioned handbell choir here in Tallahassee, and conducting a bell choir at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church.
