Elaine's Story
I worked as an RN after graduating D'Youville College in '67. I married Jeff Powell that summer. We moved to Syracuse in 1976 after he completed both dental and medical school and some residency in Buffalo. Divorced in 1979 and remarried in 1980 to Anthony A. Gervaise,from originally Fredonia, NY. Divorced again in 2000 I spent 26 years in Syracuse raising my 4 children, working in Nursing positions. moved to Frederick Md. till 2004, and then to Washington,NC area where we will continue to live. My 3 daughters Kim Powell,Jackie Powell Prillaman and Maureen Powell Butts all live in the Raleigh area, and my son Anthony J. Gervaise married a Brazilian girl Fabiana Barbosa Jan.17th,2010 and they live in Hoboken, NJ. I have 4 grandkids in Raleigh area also.
Life has been especially good these last few years, and NC is a great state to live in. We do spend summers at our cottage in Alexandria Bay, NY.
