Elaine's Story
Recently moved back to St. Louis after living in California for twenty years.We luckily sold our house that was ten minutes from the beach in San Deigo County and now we live ten minutes from Highway 61 in Troy MO. It's a big difference but close to family again. I don't work since moving here but have always worked in banking, attended college, and raised two boys while my husband was often away being a happy U S Marine. I always did volunteer work in the community where I lived and saw that California wasn't completely perfect, so I am glad to move back here to retire. Through the years I have come back to St.Louis for mostly sad things, the funerals of my mother,my brothers Michael and Alfred,and my sister Denise. Our oldest son John died wh...Expand for more
ile on active duty with the Air Force just a year after he was married.
Moving back home has helped a lot with getting over that. We just bought a home here in Troy but I sure would rather live in Richmond Hgts again,where we bought our first home 31 years ago. JUST a little price differnce now. Anyone that wants to write me, catch up, or threaten me, or rub it in that they DON'T live in Troy MO can contact me, , I haven't caught up with anyone yet, still unpacking boxes (it's just like Christmas). Just a news flash, my sister Sheila actually went to Mr. DeJong's funeral a few months ago and ran into Mr. Howdy Sanders, that's going back into history!
