Elaine's Story
My friends will most likely remember me as quiet and laid back. I loved to dance and go to the R & W Root Beer Drive-in to hang out with my friends.
I always wanted to be a a social worker when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a a good idea. As it turns out, they were right.I love helping people. But when I got to college I changed my plans and majored in Business Education and minored in English.
I am slow to anger, cool, laid back, level headed. It takes a lot to make me really angry, but when I reach the boiling point you will know, because my hazel eyes flash like a cat ready to pounce. :D My favorite way to relax is in front of the flickering fire place lying on a white bear skin rug, snuggled with the love of my life.
I never did any thing you would call wild in school. I never even had to do detention. I was pretty much a model student.
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have make-up on, my nails and hair done, dress for success, and pray to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
My inspiration comes from my daily communication with the Lord. God is the source of my strength. My steps are order by His Word.
I was born at the Old Knoxville General Hospital. I was reared in Louisville, TN, a rural community in North Blount County, TN. I lived there for 35 years. I moved to Knoxville, when my second husband, Sam became ill, so he could use the Lift to go to dialysis. I have been in Knoxville ever since.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is George Bates, because the last time I saw him I was very rude, to him. I would like to be able to explain to him what terrible things were going on in my life and apologize for taking my anger out on him. I have tried to find him for years, but to no avail.....Expand for more
I am no athlete, just an athletic supporter. I support my kids in their athletic endeavors. I sometimes watch Basketball with my kids. Reality TV - The Bachelor, Big Brother are the only two I watch. I love to watch all CSI and Law and Order programs. I like Judge Joe Brown, Judge Greg Mathias, Judge Judy.
Life doesn't always turn out the way you expect. My biggest surprise was when my husband passed away. We had so many plans for our future, and they were cut off suddenly. I have spent the last few years rearing our children. Now our youngest is soon going to be 18. Now is time for me to pick up the pieces and go on with my life. I am now waiting for my "kinsman redeemer" my Boaz, my knight in shining armor, my officer and an gentleman, my soul mate, etc. I want to fall in love again.
The greatest thing I have learned from my kids is patience. I have a total of 11 kids - 4 daughters, 4 sons and 3 step-sons - a true to life "Brady Bunch" I have had to deal with a variety of personalities and believe me patience is virtuous.
I would love to have seen Professor Fitzgerald, I think he is deceased.
He was so full of life and had such a positive attitude daily.
If I won $100 million, I'd give 10% of it to my church, then spend the rest on investments, my kids and get out of debt.
Happiness, (well we are about as happy as we make up in our minds we're going to be)to me would be spending quality time with the love of my life.
My current age is 61. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be old as dirt. I was so completely wrong.
I share my home with my two youngest sons., which I find very pleasant.
My childhood memories are with all my cousins. We had lots of fun playing in the apple orchard, making mud pies, swinging, and playing games.
