Eldan's Story
I have lived in Eureka since graduation except for a 3-year stint in the Army--mostly in Hawaii--where I was married in 1962. Before going to Hawaii I was attending a 4-month school in Fort Gordon, Georgia in the winter of l959-60. One evening we had a mini class reunion of FIVE guys from EHS Class of 1959! he same place and time? After a couple of years at Humboldt State and then working as an insurance investigator, I began a 27-year career on the Eureka Fire Department, retiring in 1998. During that time also retired from the Coast Guard Reserve. Since then have joined our school reunion committee in trying to find "missing classmates" in anticipation of our 50th reunion. My attendance there will mark my FIRST reunion.
