Kay's Story
Life
I started out believing that I was going to be a concert pianist, but due to fracturing both of my wrists, I taught piano for 27 years instead. I roller skated for exercise and enjoyment and exhibition dance skated at different skating rinks up and down the Washington and Oregon coast.
We have 1 dog, Shadow (Malamute & Husky mix); 3 cats,Tuxedo is 8 yrs.old and follows me around like a little puppy dog, Wulffy,is a beautiful Russian Blue, she adopted my husband, Vern,in 2007. We just(2009)adopted a special needs kitty, Named "her" Trixie, took her in to be spade and "she" came out Trickster instead!! He was caught in a fan blade when he was just a kitten and has one eye pulled up into a tweek, no whiskers on that side of his face, and half a tail. We love him to pieces. And he fit right into our lives & family perfectly. Right now we are fostering 5 bottle baby kittens that lost their mom when they were just a week old. Quite a challenge with 5 little mouths all wanting to be fed at the same time.
I love to crochet when my hands will let me, love all kinds of music but have just discovered New Age Music and really like that.
I love Fords, PBR, Mariners, Spooky, Scary Movies. Update: have to add I love Chevy's too, as last year we traded our exporer in after I fell out of it and twisted my back, had to get something closer to the ground, so got a Chevy Blazer, Love it, Exporer was named "Black Jack" (I had just...Expand for more
gotten back from Las Vegas when we bought him), and Chevy is "Jill", of course.
I hate being in or on the water, but love the Ocean, Lakes & Rivers or streams.
Don't have a favorite season, they all are. Sometimes the transition from one season to the next is a bummer, but all things eventually pass.
I love my husband, my kids & my grandkids. All Cats & Most Dogs. Camping in our little motor home.
I love my computer, my PS2 & Tivo.
I have over 10,000 names in my Family Tree data base and more going in all the time.
I love my friends & can't wait to reconnect with those I went to school with and find out what they have done since we last saw each other.
We love to travel, but have to stop frequently to walk and keep our backs and my feet working. If we sit to long, sometimes we can't get up without help.We make lots of Rescue Runs" with kitties and an occational dog or puppy to "no kill" rescues on the coast. We saved over 300 little lives last year and are hoping to top that this year.
We are VERY into the PBR on TV, and try to keep our interest going with the Mariners. Neither of us like football, basketball Or golf. Love Nascar and thank goodness for DVR so that when Nascar overlaps our PBR, we watch it after the race is over. What did we do before DVR? I could actually use 2 of them at times.haha.
I am a 2 year member of the Big Fish Games online, love hidden object games.
OK, guess that is enough for this time.
