Life After high school, I worked for a year at Hartford A and I, an insurance company in downtown Chicago. In 1951 I married and in 1952 I had to leave my job due to pregnancy related illness. I did not return to work until 1963 when I worked for School District 125, main office was in Alsip. In 1968 I left District 125 and went to District 218, the high school district. While there I worked 1 year in the counseling office. I left the Chicago area in 1969, lived 1 year in Las Vegas NV and 22 years in Santa Clara CA where, both my husband, Chuck, and I worked for Pacific Bell in San Jose. In 1992 we retired to New Mexico and I was widowed in 1997. I was fortunate to attend the February 1998 cruise, March 2001 cruise and 50th reunion in October 2000. And, now I plan on attending the cruise to the Panama Canal with a dear friend, Jo... which I did.. Not much new in the past few years. My sister's class, 1956, will be holding a 50th reunion next September. We plan on attending...and, we did. My boys and my step-daughter gave me a wonderful 80th birthday party in Palos Heights IL. I took two friends from here in Las Cruces and we picked up my sister in Colorado and headed east. We had a great time at Lake Katherine in Palos Heights. God has been good! I am healthy and have His joy! God Bless!! Workplace I planned on working at Pac Bell for just a couple of years to get us over the hump from our move from Las Vegas to Santa Clara. 22 years later I retired and so did my husband, Chuck. He was a lineman in SJ Construction (called him the 'old man') and I was Cable Manager until they did away with the title of analyst.
