Eleanor's Story
Life
After graduating from PHS, I attended Douglas College (Rutgers) for a year and then left to marry Walter Lingner. We had two children, moved to Long Island, New York and then to Boca Raton, FL in 1970, which is where I am still. I finally finished college in 1978 and became a journalist, working first at the Miami Herald. I worked for 25 years with every major newspaper in South Florida, most recently as a columnist at the Palm Beach...Expand for more
Post. My kids are 42 and 39 and live in Georgia with their spouses and children. Walter died. I remarried Dr. Charles Bender in 1982. Together we have 10 grandchildren from PA to Miami. I retired a couple of years ago, although I still freelance a bit. Because I left New Jersey so long ago, I have not kept in touch with many people, but would love to hear from anyone who remembers me. I was the funny one (still am) and edited our yearbook.
