Eleanor's Story
I was married for 20 years and by that marriage had two biological children, Stacia and Jeff.
I am now in the 21st year of marriage with my wonderful husband, David, who has encouraged me to spread my wings and fly.
I moved away from Defiance when I was in the 9th grade, but left part of my heart in Defiance along with my friends. I continued my education in Charlotte, NC, went to Queens College, UNCC. and Alverson Draughon Business Collgege. aught English at an exclusive school in Shanghai. I have traveled through most of Europe and my life has been full. I walked the streets of Paris and took my grandson to the hospital via water taxi in Venice, Italy, found my heritage in Scotland and England and toured most of Germany. I
know if I had stayed in Defiance my horizons would have been ver limited and in leaving I have accomplished so much more in my life.
At this time I volunteer at the Billy Graham Library and my grandson's school. I have 7 grandchldren, 3 of which are my biological grandchildren. I serve on
my church council and I lead a very blessed full life.
