After graduation in 1965, I joined the Air Force so that I wouldn't go to Vietnam. As it was, I wound up going there for two years. I hurt both knees in 1967 jumping off a two-story building during a rocket attack in Vietnam The jump wasn't too bad. It was the sudden stop (lol). As a result, I went thru 5 knee surgeries and 3 knee replacement surgeries. Knee replacement surgery quit being fun after the 2nd surgery. The 3rd operation was for infection on one knee. All components had to be removed and replaced. Should listen to doctor involving infections. In 1970, I married my best friend and soul-mate, Sharon. In her later years she suffered a stroke that left her mobility-impaired, she developed diabetes, kidney failure requiring dialysis and an enlarged heart. She passed away January 14th, 2013 after 42 1/2 wonderful years. She blessed me with two beautiful daughters and they in turn blessed me with 9 beautiful grand kids (one died at 22 years young in 2016), and three great-grandsons and another on the way..
