Elin's Story
Left high school, got a BS Chem Engr degree, worked in the semiconductor, then chemical / fiber / plastics industries for the next 19 years, doing engineering and management of production operations. Lived & worked in Texas, Virginia, South Carolina, Tennessee, North Carolina, and finally New Jersey (ugh). Got an MBA. Got married. Got divorced. No kids. Changed to the pharmaceutical industry for a global job, started traveling frequently overseas for work. Moved to Reykjavik, Iceland early 2006 (very cool place, and I'm not talking only about the temperature), working with Pharmaceutical Operations in Asia, Western Europe, and the US. erience. Then back to work, still in pharma industry, based in Zagreb, Croatia where I live now. (Go look at an atlas, Croatia is in the Balkans - east Europe - part of the former Yugoslavia, bordered by Slovenia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia & Hercegovina, and Montenegro. Beautiful Adriatic coastline, very interesting history and culture.) Today, I travel for work mostly to Israel, Czech Republic, Hungary, Russia and Poland. Will leave this job in a few months and relocate back to the US for a new job. As I love to travel and experience new cultures, my plan is to continue to see as much of this wonderful world as possible. It has been about 4-1/2 years since I have lived in the US and I am interested to see how the class of 1980 is doing. Hope to see you all soon.
