Elizabeth's Story
After spending the last 23 years in the Southeast, teaching and playing the cello, I moved to New Mexico with my family. I co-directed a chamber music group that seems to take up any spare time I'd otherwise had. My family lived in Clemson SC from 2000-2008. I am married to a mechanical engineer who taught at Clemson University for the last 8 years. He is now working for a company in Albuquerque. He is a rocket scientist - with social skills as well! We have a 12 year old daughter and 10 yr. old son. They keep things interesting and we enjoy them a lot.

We moved my dad with us to NM. He is 82 now, and has been pretty lonely since my mom died. He has a pretty big room to retreat to when the two kids and two dogs bug him too much. I am having a great time hiking around the arroyos and the mountains, and everywhere in-between. It's my fitness program, really, walking and exploring. The high desert plains have their own beauty, and then there there is the endless sky. We have terrific neighbors. I'm loving it. Winter has brought skiing in the mountains. Our whole family skis, even my dad, and it's great being less than two hours from fabulous skiing. We often stop in Santa Fe for dinner on the way home.
