Elizabeth's Story
After Tosa East, I went to Marquette University. I met my husband Joe, and because I couldn't decide if I wanted to be a nurse or a teacher, and with my ovarian cancer I had Senior year of High School, got married at the ripe old age of 21. We had our first son 10 months later (one month early), and our second son 3.5 years later. I went back to school and am now a nurse, and love it!!! I've been at my current job for 2 years...I was home with the boys until the youngest was in first grade...then I was so bored the whole fall semester I had to go back to work! oldest plays both the trumpet and the double-bass, and our youngest is looking forward to violin this coming year and later flute. Our oldest is into golf, and our youngest is into golf, football, basketball, baseball and soccer. I couldn't be more proud of them. I literally turned 35 two days ago and can't belive where the time has gone. I feel so blessed to be married to a wonderful, supportive husband, and be the mother of two spectacular sons. I have been cancer free for 18 years this October, and couldn't be happier.
