Elizabeth's Story

Hi, Some of you might remember me. I was a Navy brat and I moved to Aiken when I was in 10th grade (1963). I dated Myers Porter and left Aiken High to move to Morocco in May of 1965. I worked at The Aiken Drug Mart soda fountain, for he Lofgrens. I attended Talatha Baptist Church and lived on Palm Dr. I went to USCA for a year and married in 1968 and continued my worl...Expand for more
d travels with my husband, Allen, who was also in the Navy. We were married for 41 years until his death in 2009. I have two children, Allen Jr. who serves in the Navy at Pearl Harbor, HI and Beth who currently is living with me whie her husband serves overseas. I also have two gorgeous granddaughters, Tascha who is 12 and our newest baby, Natalie who is 51/2 months.

Well I went on a school bus today to the Audobon Society with a bunch of 1st graders and had a blast! So great to see how the kids learned and how the teachers and scientists taught the information. So glad I got to go.
