Elizabeth Murtland:  

Life I have lived in Idaho for the past 43 years and taught at Northwest Nazarene College for 14 years. I have 2 grown children and 5 grandchildren. I retired, June 30, 2011, as the Executive Director of an International Humanitarian Organization that ships medical supplies and equipment to hospitals and clinics in Devloping Countries. I was married for almost 54 years, he passed away in the spring (2019). We enjoy our involvement in helping others, traveling, bird watching and our church. It has been an exciting adventure. I never dreamed 60 years ago when we graduated from BHS what life would hold for me. I have been so blessed to be able to serve others for most of my working years, have the opportunity for a good education, thanks in part to what I learned at BHS, a great family, and jobs I have loved. I have traveled the world, but look forward to other adventures, seeing old friends, making new ones and volunteering. The time spent at BHS will always be remembered with great fondness. Well, life goes on! I did retire and was blessed with a great celebration in August after a June 30th retirement in 2011.. BUT, I went back to volunteering where I worked for so long.
