Elizabeth's Story
Hello South San Class of 1988. It is hard to believe that is has been 20 years. In these 20 years, I have lost touch with most of my high school classmates. I still live in San Antonio and once in a while I will bump into old friends.
After graduation, I went to college but got married to Victor Gonzalez (another South San graduate of 1988) and didn't finish. I then worked in a bank for seven years. I stopped working to take care of my two daughters and son. I was a "housewife" for about six years and then decided it was time to go back to work. By this time, I had another son. l children. We had them when we were young and at times they were a handful but now I tell Victor that we are still young enough to keep up with our four teenagers. Our children are 19, 16, 14, and 13. If we want them around us, we take them with us. If we don't want them around us, we sneak out of the house.
Now, I work for SWISD. I love my job because I get weekends and holidays off at the same time as my kids. My kids hate it because it is easy for me to find out thing about people they interact with and because their teachers can easily find me.
Well, this is my world. It's not fancy but we live happy.
