Elizabeth's Story
Wow! I'm shocked it's already our 25th reunion.
25 years pass quickly but a lot can happen -- I know what people mean when they say life begins at 40.
I've landed in the Pacific Northwest, a few miles north of Portland Oregon. I came here via Miami Florida where I spent a couple years working in a med school and sneaking to the beach at every opportunity.
My job brought me here 13 years ago, and barring something unforeseen, I can't imagine leaving. A few years after starting my job at Washington State University, where I'm currently a Professor (of psychology) and Dean (means I don't teach much and I track a ...Expand for more
lot of budgetary matters). Ten years ago I met the love of my life and after stalking him we married a few years ago. We have a beautiful 5 year old son, Van Carlos. We also have more cats than I should admit living with us in what we call our suburban orchard. We do some windsurfing and lots of hiking in the great forests and coastlines nearby.
Every now and then I get to spend time with Evelyn Grant (older sister of Lisa Grant) who lives in Portland. We like to reminisce about Larned and its big swimming pool. Don't have many of those in these parts! Hope all class of '83 (and others) are doing well.
