Elizabeth's Story
Married an army Lt. from Okla. in 1969.....42 years....I'm stubborn..Have lived in the South ( Fl.,.Charleston, Atlanta, and now FT. Worth.} Husband owns brokerage firm that deals with miliatary that is based in Arlington. I have three grown children that are close; one that refuses to launch. I wish I were a grandmother and it isn't happening. I would love to hear from old friends from Burges. I have so many happy memories , especially from the band. I wonder about Mr. McGee and if Ferris Bullers Principle was pattern after him. Do any of you get back to El Paso? The last I heard, my house had an 8 ft. chain l ink fence across the front of it. k up the hill) ,the Oasis dive- in on a summer night. And of course, the beer busts we never attended in the desert! Thank God for long term memory, guess you can never go back. Learning scuba diving ....just got back from Cuacao and doing a road trip( business) through Europe in the fall. It"s nice to not be a stay at home mommy ,anymore!!! I have had a real thing for Brussels Griffon dogs, one American Champ, One Westminster Reserve dog , one Canadian American champion. and a new puppy with a serious case of ADHD. I am constantly amazed when I hear about Burges grads and what all they have accomplished in their lives. We were all lucky to have the memories of such a slow pace town, such caring teachers , and really great friends.
