Elizabeth's Story
I felt uncomfortable in my skin while I was in high school. It would be interesting to find out how people remember me.
Here is the rest of the story.
I finally figured out what I wanted to be when I grew up a few years after high school. I graduated from St. Mary's Jr. College in Minneapolis in February of 1986 with a degree in nursing. Due to the nurse's strike as well as the changing healthcare climate I found myself with no job prospects.
I moved to Macon, Georgia in April of 1986. I was worki...Expand for more
ng in a cardiovascular ICU. I stayed for one year. After that I moved to Augusta, Georgia and worked in a neonatal ICU.
There I met my husband.
He is a mechanical engineer. We married less than a year later and moved to Savannah, Georgia. I work at The Center for Clinical Research in Savannah.
We now have 2 kids. Jeremy is 20, and working on getting into the Marines. Jana is 23 and left for Rwanda, East Africa on May 3 with the Peace Corps. We are planning to visit Rwanda in August of 2012.
