Elizabeth's Story
Life
After graduation, I immediately joined the working class. Shortly thereafter, I found out that I was going to become a mother. Becoming a single mother forced a huge reality-check on me. I didn't make enough money to support myself and a baby so I got a job doing receptionist/secretarial work for an insurance agent. I had my baby at the end of that year, a beautiful little boy. The next year, I went to school to prepare for the state...Expand for more
insurance exam. I was truly petrified at the thought of taking such an important test. I thought the only thing I could remember at that point was how to change a diaper and prepare a bottle. However, I took the test and passed on my first try. I got my insurance license in April of 1998 and have been growing in my field ever since. My son is now 8 years old and driving his mommy crazy but I suppose that's the way it's supposed to work!!!!
