Elizabeth Taporco:  

After graduating from Cabrillo, I went to Allan Hancock to pursue a business degree and play college volleyball. I graduated in 1981 with an AS in Business Administration and an AA in Liberal Arts. I worked at Wendy's through college, then worked at Curtis Mathes (tv's) in Lompoc for a couple of years. After becoming store manager, I decided that wasn't my desire, so I changed jobs - I began working for a computer company assiociated with the base, Unisys Corp. I had married an older man in 1981, divorced 2 years later. Worked and refereed volleyball for years, then married my best friend in 1990, Paul Taporco, who I met through volleyball. He had 2 kids by his previous wife, and we have 2 kids (2 boys, 2 girls). In 1992, we moved to Wichita, Kansas because of Paul's job. I became a stay at home mom and loved it.
