Ellen's Story
Ellen's school, Silver Lake Regional High after which I married and move to Whitman. My husband and I started our family. A son Bob and daughter Deborah after seven years in Whitman we decided to purchase a house in Pembroke which we lived until 1975 when we decided to move south down to the West Coast of Florida where I remain.
During those past years we opened up our own business which was called " Trade Winds West" It was a Nautical Gift Shop which we had for over 10 years.. We met so many wonderful and exciting people during this time. People from all over the world. The tourist in Florida is well know for visiting our shop. Canadian, United States and even Europe. ( France, Italy, Greece. Germany and etc ) Wonderful way to meet people and other cultures.
During raising our children, I also enjoyed bowling on a league as I did in Ma. I was Captain of my team in both state which was a lot of fun. My team actually won first place a few years down here and enjoyed both groups of women. Of course, it wouldn't be fun if we (girls) didn't go out for a few drinks and food after our games..
Enjoy hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains and the Rocky Mountains..Blue Ridge are my favorite. (GOD'S COUNTRY !)
Love long walk on the beach, parks, watching sunsets here in Florida. Beautiful.!
