Ellen's Story
First, the dry details of my life. I've been living in Chapel Hill, North Carolina since 1990, after receiving my PhD from McGill. I am currently an Assistant Professor at Duke University and work in neurosciences at both the basic research level as well as in clinical trials. Despite my long presence in the US, I am still at heart a Canadian.
The road I traveled along was not as smooth as I had one day hoped it would be however, I suppose that goes for the majority of us. I am happily married in my second marriage and have 4 children: a 16 year old son (Austin) and 14 yea...Expand for more
r old daughter (Ariane), and a 13 year old step-son (Michael) and 11 year old step-daughter (Sarah). We also have two dogs and two cats, resulting in a pretty symmetrical family. (There were at one time several hamsters, but I won't go into that.) The boys do judo, the girls figure skate, and Danny and I do our best to keep up and maintain our sanity. All in all, I'd say life is pretty good.
Unfortunately, I don't get up to Montreal that often, but if someone were to organize a Class of '78 reunion... ( perhaps Linsey?), it would be fun to see some old and familiar faces.
