Ellen's Story
Hello all!
How do you put 35 years in a few lines? My father died about 2 months before we graduated, which caused me to stay home and go to Delta rather than to Michigan State. Five years later, I married a Baptist minister, and we pastored in Harrison, Mt. Pleasant, Rochester, NY and Portage, MI. I always was the church musician, doing everything from playing piano/organ and choir directing. In the meantime, I became a music teacher in public schools, and had one precious son, Phil in 1988.

e - half crazy, and not yet grown, fits me great) school counselor. I live in a little town between Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids, and work in Kalamazoo. Life is good. My son lives at home so he can be near his girlfriend and to save money while he goes to Western Michigan Univ. I am still a choir director in my church, and sing solo's for various events occasionally - not like I used to.
I'm very active in our AntiRacism/AntiBias work in Kalamazoo county and in our school district. It's the closest I come to being a political being.
Life is good, and I am blessed.
