Elliot's Story
Left NYC to go to Brandeis, studied biology and psychology...the latter focused on child development. So I taught elementary school for a bit, and then did some graduate work in psych. Active in the anti-war movement. Gave up grad school, banged nails for a while after buying the antique house (see photo with my kids) that I was living in. Back to a second round of repairs and reconstruction on that nowadays, still have the tools, must build a shed and workspace this spring. Married, divorced, the kids are about 28, 26 and 22. Sam and Gena (oldest and youngest) are currently resident with me, Sam having moved from Bayside to plan a leisurely trip around the world, (He leaves around Feb. 1), Gena taking off a term from school, and looking for internships at the State House, before returning to finish college in the fall. stuff in NYC and Latin America, and lives in Astoria, Queens!. Most of my career has been teaching high school science, mostly biology, here in the Boston area. For the past 5 years I have been partners with Susan Beebe, a pediatrician who lives nearby, and has 3 boys, one only 12. I have stopped teaching, but am thinking about either going back or coming up with some other scheme to amuse myself and get paid. We like to run, go swing dancing, go hiking and camping in the White Mountains, and we both read a lot of books. I am trying to steel myself to give away some of the thousands of books clogging up my house.
