Elon's Story
Well I quit drinking in 1974 and it was one of the best things I've done in my life! When i drank I wouldn't come to until the next morning and wondered if I hurt someone's feelings or more! I always had to be the one that out drank and out smoked (cigarettes), so for all of those people I screwed over I'm sorry!!
I got married in 1974 and divorced in 1989 with total custody of my 3 kids. Some things just don't work out. I remarried in 1991 and my wife made me live a life of sin for a year (oh yeah it did make me feel dirty, used and abused) before she finally married me. I quit smoking in 1994 after my lungs were damaged at work.I worked the same job for 33 years until i was laid off 30 Dec. 2011, 15 months before I could have retired from the company and I beleive it was to save them the money. Yes I'm very very pissed about it but you know i've still got my good looks to carry me though.
in 2000 I was diagnosed with Parkinsons Disease and Essential Tremor. At the timeI i was shaking so bad I had to eat with only a spoon and even than it couldn't be a liqiud. I had been shaking for years but that was something called Essenial Tremor. My wife and I checked around for a doctor who could help me control the shaking. I had doctors who tried all kinds of drugs and some real heavy duty ones but none worked. eir Neurological Department but he said that they could do nothing for me so I asked if there was any one who could. At that time there was an experimental operation called DBS (Deep Brain Stimulation) that was a surgery in which they drill through your skull (while you are awake) and insert metal probes down into the brain. When I called John Hopkins they said there were only 4 doctor in the world who did this. There was one in France and three in the U.S. and in more checking I found one in Philly, California and one at U.V.A. Charottesville Va He was the one that taught the other doctors how to do the operation, so I chose the doctor at U.V.A.. I had the right side of my body done first. They take the probe and move it around in a certain area of the brain at which time the body reacts in all kinds of ways from uncontrolled shaking to loosing your voice to having your lungs and diaphram stopping so you can't breathe.
Heath wise I had a srtoke in 2010 that left my left side weaker and it's a little harder walking around. To be continued. But still damn good looking!! My second wife (Kathy) and I were foster parents for Fairfax County so with our 3 sons,1 daughter, a grandmother(my mother) aunt(my sister) made for a great foster family for the kids we had.
