Elsa's Story
Hi Everyone,
I am posting a profile to try to find out who is interested in having a 40th reunion next year. Since we haven't had one for 20 years, and I know we are all busy, I thought I would start now to see if there is any interest.
I started out answering the Q&A, but when I looked at my profile, it said "cats, gardening and rock-n-roll" and I thought anyone who sees that will think that I am some crazy old lady, so I deleted it!
Personal info - I have been married for 23 years and have two kids. Lauren, junior at UF and Eric a freshman at UCF. Both are majoring in accounting since that is what everyone in our family seems to do. I'm a CPA. Started out my career at Arthur Andersen & Co. (before it got in trouble with the whole Enron thing) and now have my own firm in Boca Raton, which is also where I live.
Anyway, if anyone is interested in working on a reunion let me know. Alot of people that I keep in touch with are interested but none are local and we will need a group of people who live down here to do the leg work and get this off the ground. I also posted a couple of messages on the message boards to try to generate some interest as well.
We'll see what happens. Two years ago the Classes of 1965-1967 had one reunion and the Class of 1968 is working on theirs now. We don't want to be the first class to not have a 40th reunion so let's get started!
10/08 Update - attended the Class of '68 reunion last month (which is how I finally got a photo to upload) and it was a riot seeing everyone again. Can't wait for ours. Hope they don't delete my email, but send your contact info if you haven't already so that we can find out how many people are interested in attending our reunion next year.
9/09 Update - our 40th reunion was held 8/7-8/8/09 at the Embassy Suites in Deerfield. We had a great turnout and everyone had a wonderful time. If you missed the reunion and we don't have your contact information, please email me with your contact info so you don't miss the next one in 2014! We're getting too old to wait more than 5 years.
