Elvira's Story
Life can hand you a huge surprise!
I always wanted to live in the "sunshine" state with my children when I was young. I always believed I belonged in CA not NY, but did not know how or why I felt so strongly about it. Be careful what you wish for ...after becoming a Teacher and marrying a teacher, we were blessed with our only child 11 years after we were married. She has you can see in the picture looks fine....she suffers many complex invisible disabilities.

Y had no options to help her and she required a very special brain surgery, we found the best Doctor. Dr. Harold Rekate at Barrow Neurological here in PHX. So, in 2002 we moved. I always say, with two suitcases. He saved her life and we stayed here. We live in Fountain Hills, in the Valley of the Sun. Each year we make many trips back to NY and each summer!
The little girl pictured with me is not my Valerie but a friend, my Valerie is dressed as the White Witch. I need to find a better picture of her and me, but those are the only ones I can find. Hope to be at the 3oth reunion this summer. Bye for now..Elvira
