Elwood Mott:  

Life I married Pat Murray Class '68 in December 1965. Still married with 2 sons, Elwood Jr 54 and Joe 52, 4 grandkids 30 yrs, 29 yrs, 27 yrs and a 14 yrs old. One G Grandson 3 yrs. Pat has been painting ceramic and plaster figurines since the 1960's. She was Head Librarian at Green Valley School in Lombard in the 70's. She also taught line dancing through the 90's. She had some serious health setbacks and has been house bound for 4 years now. I retired from ComEd's(now Exelon's) Byron Nuclear Generating Station on Dec 29, 1998 after 33 yrs 8 mo. of service. Started in Maywood in May of '65 in Transportation Dept. working part time until graduation in June. Then went full time. Transferred to Glenbard in '69. Worked on the highline near Aurora from '76-'80. Byron Station from '81-'98. We moved near Oregon, IL in 1982. In 2005 our oldest son Elwood Jr. got married May 14th for the first time at 38 yrs old. February 23, 2006 Michael Elwood Mott arrived. Currently we are baby sitting and finally getting our house finished after 34 years. My son's and I built it. Cutting and splitting firewood helps keep me in shape. I have taken up carving wood characters, but need much practice. Elwood Jr and I raced canoes from the late 70's until the mid 80's. I still enjoy canoeing and kayaking on the Rock and other rivers. I enjoy playing farmer on our 54.5 acre farm. It's fun to teach the grandkids about nature.
