Emily's Story
Life
I was born in North Dakota in 1961. After my mother completed her MFA in theatre at ND State in 1967, we moved to the bay area, then to Eugene,OR, the following year, and Mom began grad school for her PhD at the U-of-O. After 3 yrs. we moved for one-year-each in Cinn,OH, and Ashland,OR, then back to Eugene. My mom then got a teaching job at a jr.college in Rhode Island, & off we went again, living in E.Greenwich & Warwick. I returned to RI to go to school for theatre at CCRI & RIC, where I met my husband, Mark Jacobs. We were married in 1987, and moved to Morris county,New Jersey. After 3 years we had our daughter, Brianna, and moved to Hightstown, NJ, where we have lived since. We have a 9 year-old son, Dakota, also. After, it seems, a hundred jobs in the service industry, I decided to go back to school to get a degree/certification to become an English-as-a-Second Language teacher. I should be completing this year.
