Hello World!
I hope that life is treating all of you well, and that in turn, you are doing something to give a little back. Unless of course all you got is crap, then you should probably not give any of it back - just keep it to yourself. Heh heh. But seriously, if all you got is crap, put it behind you and try, try again. Statistically, it seems likely that the good stuff must be right around the corner!
Well let's see, after graduation, I got off track for a while, just bumming around wasting time. Apparently I thought I had all the time in the world, but now, I wish I had something to show for those years I wasted. Eventually I realized that it was time to actually do something, and I went back to school to study science, which I've always liked. I remember Mr Patterson...Expand for more
's Biology class at NHS being great fun, and before that, 7th grade science at Pinckneyville was pretty fun too. Good teachers can make all the difference in how entertaining and useful a class is. I got a BS in Molecular and Cellular Biology with a minor in Chemistry, and have been working in scientific research for several years. I've met a lot of great people, and worked on some pretty interesting projects. However, a lot of what happens in scientific research is repetition of the same experiment again and again, which can be very tedious. So I'm still in the field, just not in the trenches of it. I like being surrounded by smart people, and hearing about their research.
I live on the West coast, married my husband and best friend, had a kiddo, and our lives are pretty good.
