Emily's Story
Life
Well my life in a nutshell is that after I left the beautiful Callahan,Florida, I went to live in San Antonio where my now 4 1/2 year old son lives with his grandparents, then I moved to Hawaii and am attending school there. I just recently finished my Associate program in Liberal Arts and headed to getting my BA in Psychology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. How exciting?!?! I visit down memory lane everytime I come back to Florida, every six months. Usually a few weeks during the summer and a few weeks during the winter. It's always exciting seeing the people that I grew up with. My life now is always so hectic and when I get back into the "country" mode, it's so refreshing. I have seen quite a few of my old friends since I left and hope to see many more in the years to come.
I married a guy from Hawaii and am currently holding down 2 jobs and 5 classes full time in school, but I still manage to take care of my 5 month old daughter and listen to anyone who needs someone to talk to. So if ya'll are ever in my neck of the woods, give me a ring.
College
Well now that my 2 years is up at the community college, I now get to go the big the "U"...Uni...Expand for more
versity of Hawaii at Manoa, I guess it's not such a bad thing though, I mean I am attending college in paradise.
I have just recently celebrated my one year anniversary, and in a few more months my 2nd child will be a year old. I have a collective group of friends now, from band members to pageant queens. I love every single one of them. My husbands family is huge, and if anyone knows Filipinos, you'll know what I mean.
I guess living here in Hawaii has changed me a lot, and just growing up, I guess. I still talk to quit a few people from Callahan and they all say I've changed so much, good or bad? I'm not sure.
But I'll be back in June for a month this time if anyone wants to meet up and "talk story" about the old days. I can't believe it's been 6 years already....I mean, I'm 24 already and life seems as if it's flown by, good friends and a healthy family, will make life worth living.
Let's get together this summer and go out.......hope to talk to you guys pretty soon, if not, see you around Callahan.
In one more year, I'll have my BA and will be using it to get a job over there in Florida somewhere, hopefully at JSO, if I can get the right pull.
