Denise's Story
My So-Called Life (or What I Want to Be When I Grow Up)
Like many of us, after high school I went to MSAC for a while, but couldn't decide what I wanted to do with my future. I worked the candy counters at Woolworth's and the movies; waitressed & bartended; had a childcare business, wedding dress alterations business and gained a myriad of other jobs. I kept going back to school for various other skills (still searching) before I finally settled into secretarial, then branched into social work for Orange Co. to secretarial working for a CPA firm for a couple of years. After being laid off I decided to go back to school, again, to study medical billing & coding. Now that I have graduated I am once again looking for a job/career. Hopefully I've finally discovered what I want to be when I grow up!
I've got a great son, still unmarried. His passion is music and has played with several bands, and has even toured the U.S. and other countries.
I am finally living back out on my own and am loving it! I am currently residing in Mira Loma, CA.
