Chris's Story

My Story?I was born in 1958 in Prestwick,Scotland,My Dad was in the USAF and was stationed there,Mom was from California. At 9 mos old we moved to Bermuda,I lived there untill Dad was reassigned to Colorado Springs,I was naturalized here as a citizen when I was 3.Attended Jefferson Elem.K-2.In late 1965 we moved to Calif.I remember my Dad trick or treating for us while on our way there(car broke down in Wyoming)We lived in Yuba City untill Feb 66 when we finally got base housing on Beale AFB.Went to Lone Tree Elem,I lived at Beale untill March of 69.(We moved to Simi Valley CA when Dad went to Korea for a year(69-70)Attended Parkview Elem.Returned to Beale AFB went to Bear River Jr High in Wheatland. In August 72 we had the good fortune to get stationed in Hawaii,It stole my heart and is part of who I am to this day,I wish I could live there. We lived in the Aliamanu area untill were assigned base housing on Hickam.9th & 10th grades were at Radford High School,Honolulu(Go Rams!)Unfortunately my Dad made the unpopular decision to retire in 1974 and move back to the Mainland. For some reason he picked Lompoc CA so he could outprocess at Vandenburg.Worst place I ever lived. After HI anything was a let down.I wo'nt get all TMI on y'all but young lady broke my heart and spirit there(she was my 1st)Left me with a fear of intimacy,to a certain extent, which was probably...Expand for more
