Hello Fellow Classmates,

It is great to have a place where we can all get reaquainted. Well, it's Eric Abrams, yeah, the guy with the major lisp in the mid 80's. Oh yeah, and the one who talked lot's. Still do.
I live in Redlands, Ca with my wife Erika and sons Jaden Alexander Abrams (Pic in profile)and Brandon Daniel Abrams (new photos below). I was married in Redlands on June 14th, 2003 to Erika Moralez. Our son Jaden came into the world on March 26th 2004. Brandon joined in on March 5th, 2007. I have been teaching Elementary Physical Education in Southern California for the past eleven years. I work at Lincoln Elementary School in San Bernardino, CA.
Prior to all this, I graduated from Santaluces in 1987 and went straight to Gunnison, CO to attend Western State where I competed in Cross Country and Track for the school in 87-88. Injuries forced me to walk away my Sophmore year. I was player /coach on the club baseball team for a few years before graduating in 1993 with a Bach degree in Kinesiology.
I then had various jobs ranging from lifegaurd in Glenwood Springs, CO, electrical apprentice in Aspen, CO and Ft Collins, CO, waiter in many places including Abby RD bar & grill in Delrey Beach, FL and Boynton Ale House. At the Ale house, I worked with many Santaluces Alumni including Jim Marcil (88) and lots of others. I also worked for IntegraCare Physical Therapy in Boca, FL with Alumn Laurie Wofford and Kevin Howells.
Finally, I decided to go to Colorado State University and get a teaching degree in 1996. I played baseball at Colorado State in 1997. Upon graduation in 1998, I became a sub for 5 months in Colorado. I then was hired by the San Bernardino City Unified School District and have been a Physical Education Instructor since.
Never spending more than a year or two in one place, I thought getting married would pass me by. I was never even close until age 33 when I asked my girlfriend/co-worker Erika Moralez to marry me.

fortunate to survive a serious septis problem following an abdominal cist/hernia surgery. I also developed Melenoma Skin Cancer on my right arm. The depth was 3 x deeper than expected and hoped. Dr's put me in an office and told me my chances to live were slim. After a few surgery's and the removal of some lymph nodes, I have amazingly been Cancer free for over four years. I thank God that I have been given a chance to marry and have children. My family has been truly blessed.
My hobby/job is coaching. I have been the head track and cross country coach at Cajon High in San Bernardino, Ca since 2000. I have always had a passion for track and running. At Santaluces, I was a member of the only boys team in school history to go the the state meet in FL. I learned so much from all my coaches and experiences that I wanted to give something back. Our girls team at Cajon has won FIVE consecutive league titles in XC and we won a track title in both boys and girls track. My boys XC team won the 2008 title. I have been fortunate to coach one of the top five freshman runners in the country in XC and Track (Sarah Sundstrom 2000) and the number 3 freshman 800m girl in the country (Denise Thomas 2:14 in 2003)
Our girls 4 x 400 team in finished 10th in the state meet with a top time of 3:51. That time was 24th best in the country. Two of those girls attend Cal State LA {Rebekah McCall} and Univ of Cal San Diego {Amber Green}. Amber has since become the best track athlete at the University running 56.8 for 400m. Both girls have recieved All-American honors.
I often think back and think about times growing up. I am looking forward to reading other bio's and learning what you all are doing. Please, if you read this, thank God daily for all that you do have. I have had diabetes for 23 yrs and am doing good. Life has delt me some blows. Still, others have been through so much more. I hope this message finds you and finds you well.
