Eric's Story
After high school, I went to college, then became a telephone contractor for about 5 years. I married another Longwood High grad, Dara Ives, class of 88. I joined the NY State Police as a Trooper. 24+ years later, I retired at the rank of sergeant. As a Trooper, we lived and worked my entire career in upstate NY at various stations between Albany and Schroon Lake. minutes south of Tampa. Dara and I have two boys. One is in medical school at U of Rochester, and the other is in the US Air Force Academy. Dara and I are still married, coming up on 28 years now. We're going to be living in the United Kingdom (England) for the next year starting Aug 1, 2016. Dara found a new job there as an MRI Tech. We see it as kind of a working vacation and we plan on seeing as much of Europe as possible while we;re there,
