Eric's Story

Life Wow! This is TOO wierd! Anyway, life has been quite an adventure. After leaving school to be a "rock star", I played in a few different bands in and around the Bay Area. Had a great time but never played with anyone you would have heard of. The closest to anything big was opening for Stevie Ray Vaughn in "The Jimmy Lyon Band". Jimmy wrote "Two Tickets to Paradise" and some other big Eddie Money hits, and the band was doing pretty well when he got called to tour with Tina Turner, so that was the end of that. Oh well, I had a ton of fun trying to "Make it Big" HAHAHA! I got married right after that and got into the car business. The marriage only lasted two years and we had no kids so it was a clean break. In '96 I moved to Scotts Valley with Nancie Fox, a well respected massage therapist from Vacaville. We were together for six years loving life in a great house in the Santa Cruz mountains. Stayed in the car business to make the money needed to live there and played music with Nancie for fun. When that relationship dissolved in 2002, I moved to Texas to care for my mother who was having health problems. While living here in Nacagdoches TX, I got involved with an awesome Church,( Yeah, I know, You've Got To Be Kidding) I never, ever, thought I would become a die-hard Jesus Freak, but that's what happened, God Is Good!!! I now am the worship leader,(fancy name for piano player), for the church and I also edit and do all the post-production work on our TV show, on every Sunday on FOX 51 out here in Texa...Expand for more
s. A year ago, I googled Nancie's name and saw her Mother's obituary on line. I loved her Mom so much, I thought I should call and give my condolences. Nanc didn't answer, so I left a message figuring I'd never here back from her. Two hours later, she called back and we started talking back and forth for a few weeks. One Sunday night, I was getting ready for church when the phone rang with Nancie on the other end in tears with the news that her only son John, who was 38, had died in his sleep.I will never be able to imagine the pain a Mother feels at the loss of a child, and she was going to need some help to get through this. She asked me to please come out to CA for the services and for any support I might be able to give. After spending 10 days with her, it was obvious that our thing was rekindling. She came out to TX right after that and soon after we were engaged. We have since gotten married and purchased a wonderful home on Lake Nacogdoches where we are so blessed to wake up every morning with the sun rising over our boat dock. We honeymooned in Israel on a 2 week tour of The Holy Land and it was so beautiful. All of the news we hear of Israel on TV is total garbage. The Jewish people are wonderful and take great care of tourists. Day to day life consists of working on the TV show, planning and directing the worship (music) services at church, playing with our dogs Cashew and Lacey, and fitting in time to spend on the lake. I hope all is well with everyone who might read this, God Bless You All!!
